Super Gloss and Tiller

The final coat is being put on as I type this very post. Gustavo's expert hand was our choice for this very important step. We saw how well he did with the fiberglass fills and chose him to paint our hull. Here he is showing off our new mirror shine:



While Gus was adding our coat, Dan made us a new tiller as the old one was becoming delaminated and was being held together by an ornamental knot at the head. He decided to use teak wood, a very hardy wood perfect for the ocean and completely weatherproof. He put a form in clamps and, using his master carpentry skills, fashioned a beautiful new tiller.
